Professional Experience

Art and Framing Specialist
October 2007-Present                                  Fastframe
Responsible for design and fabrication of custom art treatments, with emphasis on both the creation of attractive and appropriate displays as well as conservation of art pieces.  Additionally concerned with business operation.
                                                   

Cartooning Instructor
September 2005-January 2006                      Piedmont Recreation Department
Developed curriculum and taught regular cartooning classes for children aged 4-6 and 6-9 years.  Lessons covered basic drawing skills, elements of caricature, and rudiments of design, and included guided, independent, and cooperative projects.  Students created portfolios containing posters, comic layouts, self-portraits, etc.


Special Programs Instructor
September 2004-March 2005                        Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation
Created and taught weekly classes for children aged 5-12, including arts and crafts and fine arts.  Arts and crafts classes focused on international arts, creativity, cooperation, and building self-esteem.  Fine arts classes focused on drawing and essential skills, imagination, and art history.

Designed and directed drop-in arts and crafts programs for children and families.  Activities fulfilled criteria created with Program Director, such as: activities should be educational, multi-cultural, reproducible at home, cooperative, self-esteem building, worthwhile, inexpensive, and appropriate for a wide age range.
